Book Readings

With Covid receding, we hope, in the rear view mirror, the following is a short list of book readings and events in the past couple of years:

A fun reading in Clifton Springs with their historical society held in June 2023, many thanks to Cathy McGrath. Also a reading in July at the wonderful bookshop in Macedon NY: Books, ETC., hosted by John Cieslinski, author of “Please Don’t Read These Poems.”

On Saturday 10/21/23 there was a book launch held at the St Rose De Lima School Cafeteria. Many thanks to Father Anil for his support, a grand time was had by all.

This year I was pleased to talk about Paddy O’Neil’s Trunk and Driving the Auburn as part of the Authors and Characters Series at the Bay St Louis, Hancock County, Mississippi public library, 5/16/24 under the wise leadership of Leah Holmes, branch manager.

Last but not least, it was a pleasure to lead a two hour seminar, “From Family History to Published Fiction”. This was part of OLLI, Osher Lifelong Learning Institute, a summer series, held at the University of Southern Mississippi, 6/24/24.

My brother Tim used to talk about the importance of the audience in live musical events, the relationship of audience with musician. It is the definition of synergy, the combined effect greater than the sum of separate effects. Amen.
